Teardown / Photos
Unfortunately no teardown guide photo. I do not live in the appartment that contained this particular oven.
- Main board shot: top face
- Main board shot: bottom face
- Main board shot: composite of top and bottom face (non-parallax adjusted)
- Main board shot: partial trace continuity (for relay replacement)
- Main board with cable plugged in original configuration, in place in oven
Identified Bill of material
- Main microcontroller: STM8S207S8T6C
- Other IC on main board:: NXP 74HC14D Hex Schmidt Trigger
- Relay: See Board shots, 12V actuation 250V switching
Issues and solutions
Resistor short to ground: Symptoms: oven turns on, starting cooking program turns on light and fan, but trips residual current interruptor when the resistor presumably turns on. Use the various program to determine whether the top or bottom resistor is affected. High but no infinite resistance between chassis ground and resistor internal wire (accessible via cable harness), but might be fine while not hot. Solution: replace resistor.
Relay contact fail-open: Symptoms: no heating in the bottom or top resistor, despite everything seemingly working as expected. Solution: replace relay.
TODO
There is a top window and visible/IR (?) diode presumably for diagnostic without opening the appliance. Reverse the protocol.
